My Featured Social Media Project: Metropolis Of Atlanta Philoptochos
Objective: A completely revolutionary social media marketing strategy to expand the brand identity and awareness of the Metropolis of Atlanta Philoptochos. Client is a small non-profit organization with 71 chapters and 3,700 members who are inspired by Christ’s teachings to help all in need. Philoptochos, a Greek word meaning “friend of the poor”, is the philanthropic arm of the Greek Orthodox Church and one of the largest philanthropic religious organizations in the United States.
They are involved in all areas of philanthropy including many local, national and international organizations. On a global scale, their charity projects are as varied as helping victims of places ravaged by natural disasters or building a church in Africa. At the national and local level, they support a wide variety of charitable causes for children, low income families, the elderly, veterans, victims of abuse and domestic violence, the hungry, the homeless, the sick and the suffering. Because of the philanthropic nature of this beloved organization, it was important to establish a social media effort that is rich in inspiration, while also being motivational, informative and fun.
