My Featured Web Design Project: PrairieFest Arts And Music Festival

Objective: A clean, modern, fully-responsive and state-of-the-art, new website design for PrairieFest Arts & Music Festival, an annual arts and music festival in it’s 54th year. PrairieFest is a special festival that is run by the Arkansas City Area Arts Council as part of its annual fundraising efforts and community outreach.

This particular client did not have a current web presence so complete website build was necessary, to include new text, images, graphics, pages, structure, buttons, slideshows, sliders, ads, mobile menu, flyers, and clickable calling features. They also did not have a logo, so I worked with two graphic design interns to create a full brand for this special festival.

This website utilizes responsive technology and renders across all devices: desktop, laptop, mobile and tablet.

My Featured Web Design Project: Ark City Arts

Ark City Arts LogoObjective: A clean, modern, fully-responsive and state-of-the-art, new website design for Ark City Arts, a nonprofit arts organization with a big heart. Ark City Arts offers art classes, events, concerts, films, dinner parties, an annual art auction and fundraiser, a children’s summer theatre camp, community art trips, art gallery exhibits, and an annual arts and music festival to the Ark City community.

This particular client had an outdated existing website presence and so a complete website build was necessary, to include new text, images, graphics, pages, structure, buttons, slideshows, sliders, ads, mobile menu, flyers, and clickable calling features.

Because Ark City Arts has so many events, classes and concerts, it was important that their web presence also communicate these same principles to their visitors and potential future clients. We implemented a new online ticketing system, added an e-commerce store for classes, integrated a new donation platform, added social media sharing and a blog, and utilized a mobile first design philosophy.

My Featured Web Design Project: Saint Katherine’s Philoptochos

metropolis of atlanta philoptochos logoObjective: A bright, modern website for the St. Katherine’s Philoptochos Society, a Greek Orthodox women’s charitable organization. This organization is literally passed down from generation to generation among the women of the Greek Orthodox Church, and so it was important to give the site a feeling of femininity, of being handmade and cared for, a strong sense of togetherness, and the use of stunning graphics and photos in order to effectively visually communicate their brand to their web audience.

Client needed a redesigned website with fresh new website images, a newly redesigned header, footer and home page, increased functionality, an updated store, a simple and intuitive navigation menu and Christ-centered content and branding throughout the website for their non-profit philanthropic organization.

chiropracticObjective: A clean, modern, fully-responsive and state-of-the-art, new website design for Carmichael Chiropractic, a medical company specializing in chiropractic services. For more than 40 years, Carmichael Chiropractic has severed patients in the Springfield community with a focus on exceptional customer service and the highest quality patient care.

This project was my second website redesign for Carmichael Chiropractic and the project included new text, images, graphics, pages, structure, buttons, slideshows, sliders, ads, mobile menu, flyers, and clickable calling features.

Because of their exceptional mission of providing exceptional customer service, and their commitment to quality patient care, it was important that their web presence also communicate these same principles to their visitors and potential future clients. It was such a pleasure to have been a part of building this second website, and participating in the branding and marketing of this company, and its custom-built, interactive and feature-filled website.

My Featured Graphic Design Project: White Dove Fall 2015

Objective: The Greek Orthodox Ladies of the Metropolis of Atlanta Philoptochos’ beloved newsletter, the White Dove, is created with a special emphasis on incorporating the most modern of technologies with a clean, modern design. This particular Fall issue was created with an emphasis on merging faith-based imagery with the crisp, warm colors of the Fall season.

This digital publication is a quarterly publication that features articles from Metropolis of Atlanta Philoptochos chapters, as well as a message from His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios, a message from President Dee Nicolaou, a message from Spiritual Advisor Fr. Panayiotis, a featured recipe, important announcements and more. Filled with stunning graphics and inspirational quotes, this publication is one of the many ways in which this organization honors the philanthropic work of its members and showcases their various ongoing charity projects.

My Featured Social Media Project: Metropolis Of Atlanta Philoptochos

metropolis of atlanta philoptochos logoObjective: A completely revolutionary social media marketing strategy to expand the brand identity and awareness of the Metropolis of Atlanta Philoptochos. Client is a small non-profit organization with 71 chapters and 3,700 members who are inspired by Christ’s teachings to help all in need. Philoptochos, a Greek word meaning “friend of the poor”, is the philanthropic arm of the Greek Orthodox Church and one of the largest philanthropic religious organizations in the United States.

They are involved in all areas of philanthropy including many local, national and international organizations. On a global scale, their charity projects are as varied as helping victims of places ravaged by natural disasters or building a church in Africa. At the national and local level, they support a wide variety of charitable causes for children, low income families, the elderly, veterans, victims of abuse and domestic violence, the hungry, the homeless, the sick and the suffering. Because of the philanthropic nature of this beloved organization, it was important to establish a social media effort that is rich in inspiration, while also being motivational, informative and fun.

My Featured Graphic Design Project: Philoptochos Communications Manual

Objective: A client of mine, the Metropolis of Atlanta Philoptochos Society, invited me to speak at the Metropolis of Atlanta Clergy Laity Convention and I was asked to conduct a workshop on communications, their website, their social media and their beloved digital newsletter, the White Dove.

During my preparations for this important speaking event, I created a slideshow presentation, as well as a Communications Manual that was handed out to all the ladies in attendance. The Communications Manual was also published digitally for all those that were unable to attend and was a huge hit. This particular client is one of my favorites and it was such an honor to have been asked to speak at their convention.
